September 2024 - 7.8 Release Notes
We're excited to share with you the latest updates, introducing new features and improvements to enhance your user experience and productivity. Here are some highlights:
Dive into the details below to explore the latest features.
International Jurisdiction Research Now Available in Reggi
Reggi now supports research across a wide range of international jurisdictions, extending beyond the U.S. This expansion broadens the scope of regulatory inquiries, enabling more comprehensive research capabilities. For example, users can now explore "data retention regulations" in countries like Taiwan and Germany.
Please note: Non-English content is not currently supported in multi-jurisdiction research. To access such content, use Reggi's Advanced Search or Law Library features.
Multi-Jurisdictional Research Improvements
You can now create and share a multi-jurisdictional research project with other users and groups. This can be accessed from the Jurisdiction Research tab in the Research Module.
Enhance Response Accuracy in Reggi
With the new "Edit Sources" feature, users can refine the sources considered to generate the response. Sources can be included from the Reggi suggested list, excluded from the existing list, or manually added, ensuring responses are based on the most relevant information.
Reggi Alert Summaries in Excel Exports
Users can now see the Reggi-generated Alert Summaries as part of Alerts Excel Exports. This feature can be enabled from the Administration Settings. Summary will also be pushed to GRC systems.
Export Enforcement Actions Feature
We've introduced export functionality within the Enforcement Actions module, enabling users to export data based on their Saved Views. The module is now accessible in the Reporting tab under the Administration section, featuring options to Export and Modify Templates for customized reporting.
Unmapped Authoritative Documents in Law Library
Regology recommends mapping all authoritative documents in your law library to relevant topics for better organization. This ensures regulatory change alerts are categorized by topic and directed to the appropriate stakeholders. A new "Show Unmapped" filter has been introduced to easily identify unmapped documents. Administrators can activate or deactivate this feature in the “Law Library” configuration settings.
Custom Filter in Alerts
We have introduced a new "Custom Filter" in the Alerts section, allowing users to filter alerts and Impact Assessments (IA) by open status for improved workflow efficiency. Filters that cannot be applied together with custom filters will be disabled.
Saved View for Open Alerts or Open IA
We’ve added a default saved view in the Alerts tab under My Work, specifically tailored for "Open Alerts” or “Open IA". This view automatically filters out alerts and impact assessments that are in open status, making it easier for users to focus on managing their tasks. This update is part of our efforts to simplify navigation and improve efficiency within Regology, helping users quickly access and prioritize their open tasks.
Impact Assessment Workflow Enhancements
The "Initial Impact Assessment" (IA) tab is now hidden for alerts marked as "Unread" or "In-process," and only becomes visible when the status is "Applicable" or "Following." This ensures that users can initiate the IA workflow at the appropriate stage. Additionally, any existing IAs will remain intact even if the alert status reverts to "Unread" or "In-process."
Enhanced Navigation with Next & Previous Buttons
New next and previous buttons allow users to seamlessly navigate between individual items without having to return to the list view, improving workflow efficiency and user experience.
New Dashboard Widgets for Monitoring Alerts and Assessments
Two new dashboard widgets—"Open Alerts or Impact Assessment SLA by Groups" and "Open Alerts or Impact Assessment Applicability SLA"—have been added to the Workflow SLA dashboard. These table charts display group names, owners, and the number of open alerts or Impact assessments, improving monitoring and management efficiency.
Requirement Citation Content Updates
This feature allows you to review and update requirement citation content, whenever the original regulation text changes.
You will be able to:
View a list of requirements for which the citation content has changed.
Users can now view redline changes and update requirement language as needed. By clicking "Review Updates," a popup will display a side-by-side comparison of the old and new versions. Users can mark the changes as reviewed, update the requirement description, and copy the new text version. Once the review is completed, the button changes to "Updates Reviewed," streamlining the update process.
Mark changes as reviewed.
Attaching a File to an Impact Assessment
Users can now attach a file directly to the Impact Assessment page. A new “Attachment” tab allows uploading, replacing, downloading, and deleting the document. You can attach only one file.
Download Regulatory Changes as a PDF
From Regulatory Change alert view, users can download regulation redline changes as a PDF for sharing and reviewing outside Regology. This feature is available for Regulatory Changes.
Saved Views Displayed in an Alphabetical Order
The Saved Views list in the dropdown menu is now organized alphabetically. Pinned views retain their current order.
Official Citations in Documents
Users can now view and copy the official citations of authoritative documents, which typically follow the Bluebook citation format.
Quick Insights for User Administration
We've introduced an insights panel in user administration for quick user analysis. The panel is configuration-driven and can be collapsed for convenience.
Clicking on the chart will take you to the underlying data.
Admin Control Over Saved Views
Any views shared with users will automatically be shared with administrators, granting them edit privileges to manage system visibility effectively. While administrators can edit all shareable objects, they cannot delete them—this remains the responsibility of the object owners.
Enhancement of System Scope Page
All users can now access the System Scope page by clicking on the Profile icon. The first tab on the system scope page is now called "Active Content".
Additionally, we've introduced read-only alert routing rules within the same page. This allows users to see and understand why certain alerts are assigned to specific users or groups.
A new option labeled "Myself & My Group(s)" has been introduced in the owner filter. The "Myself & My Group(s)" option is selected by default, and all search results will include items where you are the owner or a member of a group.
New Search Feature in "Explore Content"
A new search feature has been added to the "Explore Content" tab, allowing users to quickly search and explore jurisdictions and agencies within Regology, streamlining the content discovery process.
