Organizing & Updating Master Data

Organizing Law Library Master Data

To edit the law library master data:

  1. Click the ellipsis icon adjacent to the Filter button in the top-right section of the page.

  2. From the options that appear, select Edit Master Data. The Edit Master Data page appears, listing out all the categories available in your master data.

    Regology organizes all the Authoritative Documents available to you hierarchically, organizing them by categories. For example, all Regology lists all marketing regulation related Authoritative Documents under Regulatory Compliance Risk > Marketing Regulation.

  3. Update the master data hierarchy as appropriate and click the Done button to commit your changes to the database.

    Use the Edit Master Data modal that appears to review the changes you made.

  4. Click Save to update the master data hierarchy, or click Cancel to return to the Edit Master Data page.

Viewing Law Library Master Data

  1. Click Expand All to display all the categories in your master data hierarchy, and Collapse All to view only level-1 categories.

  2. Use the Search field at the top of the master list to highlight specific categories.

Resetting Law Library Master Data

Click the Reset button to overwrite all changes made by other users and retrieve the original list of Authoritative Documents. Click Yes in the confirmation message that appears, to confirm the reset.

Adding and Deleting Law Library Master Data Categories

  • Click on the + icon associated with a category to add a sibling category below it. A new node appears below the category. If the category has child categories, the new sibling category appears below the child categories.

  • Use the Add Name field in the new category to give it a name.

  • Use the Add ID field to give the category a unique ID.

  • Use the drag-and-drop knurled handles to move the category up, down, inward, or outward to specify its position in the hierarchy.

Deleting Law Library Master Data Categories

Click on the Delete icon associated with a category to remove it from the master data hierarchy.

Remember to click Done and save your changes in the Edit Master Data modal before you exit the page.
